Winner's Thoughts
One important key to success is self-confidence. An
important key to self-confidence is preparation. Complete mental and
physical preparation has to do with sacrifice and self-discipline, and
that comes from within. Start by setting modest goals which are
meaningful, but attainable. For example, every Sunday night, write down
four things that you want to accomplish the following week, and then
make sure that seven days later when you make up your next list, all four
items have been completed and crossed off. These small but meaningful completed tasks
should generate much self-confidence as time goes by.
"Your Life Will Be Blessed If You Look
for the Best….It’s easy to grow downhearted when nothing goes your way,
it’s easy to be discouraged when you have a troublesome day, but trouble
is only a challenge to spur you on to achieve the BEST that God has to
offer if you have the FAITH to BELIEVE!"
Arthur Ashe, Jr.
Professional Tennis Player
"Winning and losing are both very
temporary things. Having done one or the other, you move ahead. Gloating
over a victory or sulking over a loss is a good way to stand still…or
worse."
Chuck Knox, NFL Coach
"They worked by day and
toiled by night-They gave up play and some delight. Dry books they read,
new things to learn-And forged ahead, success to earn. They plodded on
with faith and pluck, and when they won, some called it luck."
