North.
Start
looking
for
the
Ranch
entrance
when
you
pass

historical
marker
sign.
We
are
one
(1)
mile

there.

and
banners
are
posted
on
the
white
rail
fence.

at
the

Ranch

Store

Ranch

carries

tack

equipment

might

students

we

WHILE
ATTENDING
CLINICS
OR
SCHOOLS
Effective
Immediately (8/20/07): Each student is allowed to bring ONE HORSE
ONLY for all clinics with the exception of the All-Around School and
Camp. If you bring another horse, you will be charged $75 for an
additional stall and you will not be allowed to ride the second horse
during the clinic.
Individuals
of
all
ages,
from
beginners
to
advanced
on
all
types
of
horses,
are
welcome
to
enroll.
Children
under
8
years
of
age
must
be
accompanied
by
a
parent
or
guardian.
Visitors:
Parents
and
family
are
always
welcome
at
the
Josey
Ranch.
Meals:
The
concession
stand
will
be
open
from
7:00
a.m.
until
9:00
p.m.
daily.
Dress:
Blue
jeans,
shirts,
hats
and
boots
are
standard
wear
at
the
Ranch.
One
dress
outfit
of
western
shirt
and
pants
is
recommended.
Photographs
&
Videos:
Action

of
horses
and
riders
during
the
Ranch
clinics
and
schools.

Horse
Health
Papers:
The
State
of
Texas
requires
that
out-of-state
horses
have
a
45-day
health
certificate.
All
horses,
either
out-of-state
or
in-state,
must
have
a
12-month
negative
Coggins
certificate.
You
should
consult
with
your
vet
early,
as
it
takes
about
ten
days
to
receive
Coggins
test
results.
Please
present
these
papers
when
you
check
in
at
the
Ranch.
It
is
advisable
to
have
your
horse
in
good
physical
condition
prior
to
the
clinic
or
school.
For
the
protection
of
your
horse,
we
also
suggest
that
all
vaccinations
be
current.
Horses:
Students
must
bring
their
own
horse.
One
stall
per
student
is
available.

All
Around
School
and
Camp
Stalls:
Unlike many other facilities, Josey Ranch does allow you to request
stalls. While we make every attempt to stall you where requested,
this is not a guarantee. Be sure to make your stall request when
registering for the clinic as they are already assigned before
check-in. Stall requests cannot be made or changed at or after
check-in. Stalls in the covered arena are not available during
clinics.
Feed:
Students
must
bring
their
own
feed,
hay
and
other
equipment
needed
for
their
horse.
Tack:
:Please
bring
saddle,
blankets,
bridle,
hay
bags,
two
(2)
feed
buckets,
small
plastic
buckets,
and
any
other
equipment
needed
for
your
horses
care.

Ribbon
roping
eliminations
will
be
held
at
7:00
p.m.
on
Friday
night.
The
top
10
will
go
into
the
finals
on
Saturday.
FINAL
DAY:
The
barrel
race
and
calf
roping
competitions
will
be
one
go-round
on
Saturday.
Finals
begin
at
1:30
p.m.
on
Saturday
and
should
conclude
at
approximately
5:00
p.m.
SPECIAL
NOTE:
All
students
may
participate
in
one
school
of
their
choice,
either
barrel
racing
or
calf
roping.
If
signing
up
for
the
roping
school,
it
is
helpful
if
the
horse
has
had
roping
experience.
WRITTEN
PERMISSION:
Students
under
18
years
of
age
must
provide
written
permission
from
their
parents
or
legal
guardians
if
they
plan
to
leave
the
Josey
Ranch
premises.
If
permission
to
leave
is
only
with
specified
persons,
this
should
be
clearly
noted.
Everything
that
is
school-sponsored
is
located

Ranch
grounds.
